Young Professionals Celebrate Spring
On April 3, the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) and the Young New Yorkers for the Fight Against Parkinson’s committee hosted the sixth annual Celebrate Spring New York at LAVO. Led by Co-Chairs G. Pennington Egbert III, Gregory and Barbara Romero, Jonathan E. Romero, Jr., Missy Egbert Sheehan and William B. Sheehan, the event welcomed 350 supporters and raised over $80,000 for PDF’s Côté Clinical Genetics Initiative.
On April 26, PDF and a committee of young professionals led by Co-Chairs Rehana Ashraf and Anne Greene welcomed 200 guests to the first Celebrate Spring Boston at The Liberty Hotel.
The event raised more than $42,000 for Parkinson's research.
PDF Celebrates, Honors and Collaborates
On May 16, 300 supporters gathered for PDF's Bal du Printemps Gala at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, raising $675,000.
Willie Geist, co-anchor of NBC News’ “Today” and co-host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” was Master of Ceremonies.
PDF presented Arlene and Jerome Levine with the Page and William Black Humanitarian Award, and LVMH Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton with the 2013 Commendation of Excellence.
On March 20, PDF and the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) presented their 13th annual co-sponsored lectureship in movement disorders to C. Warren Olanow, M.D., in San Diego, CA.
On May 21, PDF hosted a collaborative educational webinar, “Demystifying Hallucinations” with Benevilla in Surprise, AZ.
