“Working with PDF’s Advisory Council, I am interested in doing whatever I can in the fight for more effective treatments, better services, and (dare I say it?) a cure.”

Ms. Berman is an award-winning writer and contributor to the online magazine, NYCitywoman.com. She has authored several books and her articles have appeared in a wide range of national publications.

She has lived with Parkinson's for more than 10 years and has been very active in the Parkinson’s community, especially through her written works. Ms. Berman authored the PDF booklet, Diagnosis Parkinson’s Disease: You Are Not Alone. She shared her own experience of coping with a diagnosis in PDF’s News & Review article, "To Tell or Not to Tell?" In 2014, she also joined PDF’s Parkinson’s Advocates in Research (PAIR) program.

Ms. Berman is a graduate of Barnard College.
