Physical therapy faculty who complete all requirements of the Physical Therapy Faculty Program at PDF, including an independent project within six months will be eligible for 39 Continuing Competence Units (CCUs) and a $2,000 stipend.
ProCert has awarded certification in the amount of 39 Continuing Competence Units (CCUs) to this activity. CCUs are a unit of relative value of an activity based on its evaluation against a rigorous and comprehensive set of standards representing the quality of an activity. The CCU determination is a valuation applying many factors including, but not limited to, duration of the activity. No conclusion should be drawn that CCUs correlate to time (e.g. hours).
Upon completing all the requirements including an independent project, participants will receive a $2,000 stipend. The independent project is included as a requirement in this program to provide faculty with the opportunity for self-directed learning and the opportunity to contribute to the field on a topic of their own interest, related to physical therapy education on Parkinson’s and/or care for people with Parkinson’s and their families. The program director and experts at the host sites will discuss projects with faculty and guide/mentor as needed.
