The Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) has received an important update from the Parkinson's Action Network (PAN) about funding for the DoD Parkinson's research program.
The House Co-Chairs of the Congressional Caucus on Parkinson’s Disease are currently circulating a letter of support for robust funding for the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Parkinson’s research program for FY 2017, and they need your help to get as many signatures as possible. You can help by asking your Members of Congress to sign this letter no later than Monday, March 14th.
PAN continues to be a strong supporter of the DoD Parkinson’s research program. This program identifies and funds research projects that strive to understand how Parkinson’s disease develops and discover new ways to diagnose, prevent, and treat the disease. Thanks to advocacy by the Parkinson’s community since 1997, the program has funded over $390 million of Parkinson’s research so far, and we want to make sure this funding continues in the upcoming fiscal year.
Please join us and make your voice heard by contacting your Members of Congress now.
PAN is the voice of the Parkinson's community in Washington, DC. In fiscal year 2016, PDF is supporting PAN with a grant of $200,000.
