ParkinsonLink: Exciting News About Parkinson’s Research Challenge
Thank you! Not only have we surpassed our goal in the Irving G. Brilliant Research Challenge because of a generous gift from the Light of Day Foundation and your generosity, but now Mr. Brilliant has also offered to match an additional $100,000 by Thursday, June 30.
We invite you read the inspiring stories of these donors, who like you, joined the challenge this month and let them know your thoughts on our blog. If you haven't already, consider joining the challenge to help raise $400,000 for research.
Light of Day Foundation Joins the Brilliant Challenge, Mr. Brilliant Doubles His Challenge
Bob Benjamin, a leader in Parkinson’s fundraising and head of the Light of Day Foundation, contacted PDF this week to let us know that the foundation is donating $60,000 – raised from its Light of Day Concerts – to the Brilliant Challenge this month.
This certainly brought PDF well past its goal of $100,000, which Mr. Brilliant promised to match. Upon hearing this wonderful news, Mr. Brilliant agreed to double his challenge and extend it to Saturday, June 30. If PDF reaches $200,000 by then, Mr. Brilliant will double all of it to benefit Parkinson’s research!
We are grateful for not only their support, but for yours in helping us to reach the challenge’s goal to fund much needed Parkinson’s research.
On PDF’s blog, we have posted some information about these two donors, including a recent NBC Nightly News clip featuring Mr. Benjamin, where we welcome your feedback on the fundraising challenge, and your comments for Mr. Benjamin and Mr. Brilliant.
Sincerely,
Robin Elliott
