19th Parkinson's Unity Walk (NY)

April 27, 2013 - April 27, 2013

The Parkinson's Unity Walk (PUW) is a grassroots organization that hosts the Parkinson's community for a one-mile walk which increases awareness and raises funds for PD research. Donations from the Unity Walk support research for the major US Parkinson's foundations, including PDF.

Join the Parkinson's community for a gentle one-mile walk. The day includes a program with speeches from the Walk's sponsors and information booths from PDF and other major Parkinson's disease foundations.

Be sure to stop by PDF's booth to meet WNBA star, Ivory Latta of the Washington Mystics. Ms. Latta, is the Ambassador for the PDF Champions program, and she will autograph posters and distribute mini basketballs.

Come by also to pick up one of the 2013 Parkinson's Awareness Month t-shirts and free educational resources, and to meet members of PDF's People with Parkinson's Advisory Council, Board and staff.

Marc Sherman of PDF's People with Parkinson's Advisory Council is team captain for the PDF Pacers walk team. We hope to exceed a fundraising goal of $20,000.
