The Champions of Summer

PDF Champions stayed busy this summer, coming up with creative ideas for raising funds and awareness of Parkinson's around the US. Thank you PDF Champions!

From left to right: Eric Young swam five miles for late mom Barbara Vandergraft (Nevis, MN); Rachel Isenberg held a Happy Hour to raise funds for her 14,500 foot climb of Mount Whitney, which raised in total $4,300 (Philadelphia, PA); Bob Benjamin and the Light of Day Foundation presented PDF President Robin Elliott with a check for $100,000, matching donations made by the community this past April (Iselin, NJ); Musician Blake Morgan raised funds at the launch party for this new record Diamonds in the Dark in honor of mom Robin (New York, NY); Staff member David Blomquist and fiancée Linnea Goderstad raised $760 while kayaking the Mississippi River (New York, NY).

From top to bottom: Hailey Salha, 11, and her sister, Taylor, 9, hosted a lemonade stand, raising $60 for PDF, "in honor of our grandfather, Herman Salha who is living with Parkinson's disease" (Modesto, CA); Sarah Free made potholders for Parkinson's as a school project, "to make our world a better place and help find a cure," donating $52 in earnings to PDF (Owensboro, KY).

In order to qualify, an individual must be a new monthly donor, with a minimum donation of $5. Offer valid from Thursday, October 24 to Sunday, November 24, 2013 only. Parkinson's Disease Foundation will supply your name and address to the distributor of Chock full o'Nuts coffee for shipment purposes only.
