PDF Champions stayed busy this summer, coming up with creative ideas for raising funds and awareness of Parkinson's around the US. Thank you PDF Champions!
From left to right: Eric Young swam five miles for late mom Barbara Vandergraft (Nevis, MN); Rachel Isenberg held a Happy Hour to raise funds for her 14,500 foot climb of Mount Whitney, which raised in total $4,300 (Philadelphia, PA); Bob Benjamin and the Light of Day Foundation presented PDF President Robin Elliott with a check for $100,000, matching donations made by the community this past April (Iselin, NJ); Musician Blake Morgan raised funds at the launch party for this new record Diamonds in the Dark in honor of mom Robin (New York, NY); Staff member David Blomquist and fiancée Linnea Goderstad raised $760 while kayaking the Mississippi River (New York, NY).
From top to bottom: Hailey Salha, 11, and her sister, Taylor, 9, hosted a lemonade stand, raising $60 for PDF, "in honor of our grandfather, Herman Salha who is living with Parkinson's disease" (Modesto, CA); Sarah Free made potholders for Parkinson's as a school project, "to make our world a better place and help find a cure," donating $52 in earnings to PDF (Owensboro, KY).
