How can you have first-hand access to the leaders in Parkinson's care and research from the comfort of your own home? Join PDF's PD ExpertBriefings - a free six-part educational series designed for people living with Parkinson’s, family members and health professionals. The series is scheduled to run on an every-other-month basis until June 2010.

Each 60-minute PD ExpertBriefing is an interactive educational seminar presented by a leader in the field of Parkinson’s research and care. The seminars offer practical advice for living with Parkinson’s – including issues regarding caregiving, employment, nutrition and more – and discuss the latest scientific findings in Parkinson's. See below for a full list of topics.
How Can I Participate in a PD ExpertBriefing?
Participants can take part in the sessions via phone, using a toll-free number and/or can also watch and listen online, through PDF’s website.
Callers to the PD ExpertBriefings can listen in to the presentations by using a toll-free number that will be provided at registration (please note participants cannot access the PD ExpertBriefings using PDF's toll-free number). Phone participants can stay on the line for the full hour, but can also hang up and rejoin each PD ExpertBriefing if need be.
Those who choose to watch online can follow along with each speaker's PowerPoint presentation on the computer, in real time. By joining the live sessions online, you will have the opportunity to ask the speakers your own questions about Parkinson's during the last 20-30 minutes of the presentation.
How Do I Register for a PD ExpertBriefing?
You can register by phone or online for each individual event. Registration will open for each event approximately four weeks before it takes place.
What if I Miss a PD ExpertBriefing?
If you miss a session, an archive of the presentation will be available on the PDF website for up to one year after the live event. Archived sessions will not be accessible via phone.
