PDF Financial Health Gains Charity Watchdog's Highest Ranking

Charity Navigator (www.charitynavigator.com), an Internet-based resource for donors that provides in-depth, objective analysis of the fundraising operations of 2,800 of America's largest charities, has for the third year running awarded the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) its highest four-star ranking.

Star ratings indicate the financial health of the organization and are determined by evaluating short-term spending practices and long-term sustainability. PDF performs above average in several areas. In the fundraising efficiency category, PDF spent just 9 cents per dollar on fundraising. Management and fundraising costs at PDF were held to 19% of our overall expenses. In the peer-review which compares scores for other similar nonprofit groups, PDF came out on top, scoring 68 out of a possible 70 points.

Figures recently announced for Fiscal 2003 support the seal of approval, showing a year-end finish "in the black" for the seventh year in a row.
