BY ACCESSING, BROWSING, OR USING www.pdf.org, YOU ARE DEEMED TO HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, ACCEPTED, AND AGREED TO THIS TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE AGREEMENT AND THE ACCOMPANYING PRIVACY POLICY WITHOUT LIMITATION OR QUALIFICATION.

Use of Website.
The information provided on www.pdf.org is for personal, informational and non-commercial purposes only. You may access, download, display, or print information from www.pdf.org solely for personal, informational and non-commercial use.


Medical Information.
The website www.pdf.org contains information relating to various medical conditions and diseases including Parkinson's disease, their treatment, and the availability of clinical research and trials relating to them for the purpose of accelerating the investigation and approval of new therapeutic treatments for such conditions and diseases ("Medical Information").


Medical Advice.
Medical Information is not meant to be a substitute for advice provided by a physician or other qualified healthcare professional (“Medical Advice”). Always seek the Medical Advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider about any questions you may have regarding Parkinson's disease or any other medical condition or disease.

The Medical Information on www.pdf.org together with all text, graphics, software (“Software”), images, artistic creations, illustrations, audio clips, video clips and other information, products, services and content (“Content”), whether obtained from other organizations addressing Parkinson's disease, government organizations, clinical trials, research scientists, people with Parkinson’s, artists with Parkinson’s or elsewhere, is for educational purposes only. PDF reserves the right to alter or delete Content on www.pdf.org at any time at its discretion.


Summaries.
Much of the Content, such as research study findings from published sources, has been summarized by the creators of www.pdf.org in order to present you with a concise and easy to understand format. As such, the Content should not be relied upon as an exclusive source of information.


Seek Medical Advice.
Please keep in mind that the Content is not intended to be a substitute for professional Medical Advice, diagnosis or treatment. You should not rely on the Content for diagnosing a health or fitness problem or disease, for selecting or receiving any kind of pharmaceutical or form of treatment, or for participating in any form of clinical research. Passwords.
You will receive a password upon completing the pertinent registration process in order to obtain access to the appropriate page of www.pdf.org to change your profile or preferences for receiving mail or email, to the online donation page to contribute to PDF or to the materials for directors of PDF, the members of the People with Parkinson’s Advisory Council, participants in the Clinical Research Learning Institute or applicants for research grants or peer reviewers of applications for research grants. Prevent Unauthorized Access.
You are responsible for the confidentiality and the use of your password and for all activities that occur under your password. You must notify PDF immediately of any unauthorized use of your password or any other breach of security. You must ensure that you exit from the restricted access pages on www.pdf.org at the end of each session. PDF cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this provision.


Protection of Confidential Information.
You grant PDF and all contractors involved in the operation of www.pdf.org the right to transmit, monitor, retrieve, store, and use confidential information which you submit to the password restricted pages of www.pdf.org in connection with the operation of www.pdf.org, but for no other purpose. Please refer to the PDF Privacy Policy for descriptions of the treatment of various kinds of confidential information. Subject to an exception for confidential information, PDF cannot and does not assume any responsibility or liability for any other information which you submit to www.pdf.org (“Materials”) or for your use or another person’s use or misuse of Materials transmitted or received using www.pdf.org.  See Limits of Use of www.pdf.org, Submissions and Restrictions below.


Termination of Use.
You agree that PDF, in its sole discretion, without prior notice and without liability to you or any other person, may terminate your password or your access to or use of restricted access pages of www.pdf.org and remove and discard any of your Materials within www.pdf.org for any reason. PDF also in its sole discretion and at any time, without prior notice and without liability to you or any other person, may discontinue providing www.pdf.org or any part of www.pdf.org.


Prohibited Submissions.
You must not use www.pdf.org to: (i) submit any Materials that are unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; (ii) impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, a PDF director, officer or employee, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity; (iii) submit any Materials that you do not have a legal right to make available or that infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any party; or (iv) submit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any Materials that contain software viruses or the like. PDF may pre-screen all Materials submitted for posting on the public pages of www.pdf.org and shall have the right in its sole discretion to refuse to post or to remove any Materials posted to www.pdf.org.

The website www.pdf.org does not endorse or recommend any specific company, organization, products, processes, services, or clinical research.

The names, logos, domain names, trademarks, product names, service marks or service names appearing on www.pdf.org, whether or not appearing in large print or with the trademark symbol or the service mark symbol, may be trademarks or service marks of PDF or of its Content providers, sponsors, licensors, joint venture partners or other associates. The Content and the compilation of information on www.pdf.org, including the design and organization of the www.pdf.org website, are protected by copyright, trade dress, moral rights, trademark and other intellectual property law. The Content and the compilation of information which are protected by the copyright of PDF and the Content protected by the copyright of any individual or entity other than PDF are for personal, informational and noncommercial use only. You agree not to decipher, decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, reverse assemble or otherwise attempt to discover any source code or HTML code comprising or in any way making up a part of the www.pdf.org website, and you agree not to sell, assign, sublicense, grant a security interest in or otherwise transfer any right in the Software. You agree not to modify the Software in any manner or form, or to use modified versions of the Software, including (without limitation) for the purpose of obtaining unauthorized access to www.pdf.org. You agree not to access the www.pdf.org website by any means other than through the interface that is provided by PDF for use in accessing it. You agree not to use any robot, spider, intelligent agent, other automatic device, or manual process to search, monitor or copy www.pdf.org pages or the Content without prior written permission from PDF, provided that a generally available web browser such as Netscape Navigator® and Microsoft Internet Explorer® may be used without such permission.


Third Party Beneficiary Rights.
This Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement is for the benefit of PDF, providers of Content, and website creation, development, production, delivery,  distribution, hosting and maintenance service providers, and its and their officers, directors, members, managers, partners, joint venturers, employees, associates, affiliates, agents, independent contractors, volunteers, licensors and suppliers. Each of these individuals or entities shall have the right to assert and enforce this Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement directly against you on its or their own behalf.


No Implied Waiver.
The failure of PDF to exercise any right or remedy available upon your breach of this Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement or the failure by PDF to demand the prompt performance of any of your obligations under this Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement shall not be deemed a waiver of (i) its rights or remedies, (ii) the requirement of punctual performance or (iii) any right or remedy in connection with a subsequent breach or default on your part. Complete Agreement.


Indemnification.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless PDF and any other person involved in creating, developing, producing, delivering, distributing, hosting or maintaining www.pdf.org or its Content and each of their respective officers, directors, members, managers, partners, joint venturers, employees, associates, affiliates, agents, independent contractors, volunteers, licensors and suppliers from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, resulting from any violation by you of this Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement.


Governing Laws.
This Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement and your use of the website www.pdf.org shall be governed by the laws of the United States of America and the State of New York without regard to its conflicts of laws principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to www.pdf.org shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in New York, New York.


Compliance Only with United States Law.
The website www.pdf.org  and its Content should comply with the laws, regulations and medical practices in the United States and are intended only for use by residents of the United States, because the laws, regulations or medical practices of other countries may prohibit access to some of that information. The products discussed on www.pdf.org may have different product labeling in other countries. Although the Content on www.pdf.org is accessible to users outside of the United States, if you access www.pdf.org from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction. PDF may assign this Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement with or without notice to another organization.


Severability.
If any provision of this Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement is held to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severed without affecting the enforceability of all remaining provisions.


Entire Agreement.
This Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and PDF with respect to the use of www.pdf.org and the Content on www.pdf.org.
