The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation is committed to finding the cause(s) of and a cure for Parkinson's disease (PD) while supporting the nearly one million people in the US currently living with the disease. In recognition of the integrity of its programs and finances, PDF has been awarded the Charity Seal of Approval from the Wise Giving Alliance of the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
In 2013, 60 percent of our budget was dedicated to research, 15 percent was used to provide educational materials and information to the Parkinson's community, and 5 percent was dedicated to advocacy. That means that only 20 percent of our total budget is used for management and fundraising.
