PDF Welcomes Two New Board Members

The Parkinson's Disease Foundation proudly announces the election of two new members to its Board of Directors: Mrs. Alma Rangel and Professor Domna Stanton.

Mrs. Rangel is a longtime public and philanthropic figure in New York City. She is President and CEO of the Ralph J. Rangel Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to deserving students, and is a member of the Congressional Wives Club and The Apollo Theater of Performing Arts Foundation. Mrs. Rangel is also on the Board of Directors of the New York Foundation for Senior Citizens. She lives in New York City with her husband, Representative Charles B. Rangel, and has two grown children.

Professor Stanton, a distinguished professor at the City University of New York, brings an influential feminist perspective to bear on the scholarship of seventeenth-century and early-modern French studies. She is the author, and/or editor, of seven books and is currently the president of the Modern Language Association. A passionate advocate for human rights, Professor Stanton is a member of the Board of Directors of Human Rights Watch, The Gotham Chamber Opera Company and The Nation Institute. She also serves on the president's council of The New York Public Library. She has a daughter and resides in New York City.

PDF warmly welcomes these talented women to its Board.
