"Joining PDF's Advisory Council has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. PDF's wonderful staff and my colleagues on PPAC energize and challenge me. They are not deterred by life's unexpected setbacks. I hope that together we can make others understand that the person with Parkinson's disease is the same person, with the same thoughts and desires that he or she was before Parkinson's."

Mr. Sherman is a lawyer whose practice, since 1985, has consisted of real estate law, elder law and estate planning.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2006. He maintains a blog where he discusses his experiences living with Parkinson’s. Relatively new to Parkinson’s advocacy, Mr. Sherman looks forward to contributing to PPAC by using his legal expertise.

Mr. Sherman has performed volunteer legal work for the elderly through the National Bar Association. He also writes parodies in his spare time, occasionally about Parkinson’s disease.

Mr. Sherman is a 1982 graduate of St. John's University School of Law.
