"I want the world to find a cure for Parkinson's in our lifetime. I believe in PDF's mission to find a cure and help people living with Parkinson's by fostering research, providing education and advocating for their quality of life."

Mrs. Phillips is a retired physical therapist, who spent 14 years in academia and 20 years as the director of professional development at the American Physical Therapy Association.

After her husband Jay was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2010, the couple became heavily involved in the cause, for example, co-facilitating a support group in their community. Mrs. Phillips also leads a support group for care partners.

In 2012, the couple joined PDF’s Parkinson’s Advocates in Research (PAIR) program. Since then, they have worked on the frontlines with scientists to advance research, for example, by advocating for the use of telehealth in PD clinical trials (learn more here). Additionally, as a PDF Research Advocate, Mrs. Phillips has served as a reviewer for PDF’s research programs, ensuring PDF grants meet patient needs.

Mrs. Phillips received her bachelor of science and certificate in physical therapy from Simmons College and her master of science from Boston University.
