Dr. Eger is a practicing clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience. He has served as an assistant professor at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and as a faculty member at Sarah Lawrence College. 

In 2005, Dr. Eger was selected to serve as a Patient Consultant with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). As a Patient Consultant in the pre-approval, clinical trial phase of Parkinson’s drug development, his charge is to advise the FDA and drug sponsors on topics such as clinical trial design, endpoint determination, expanded access, protocol development and clinical trial patient recruitment strategies. 

Dr. Eger has taken part in several PDF research roundtables, authoring “Engaging Community Physicians in Parkinson’s Clinical Research” for the PDF newsletter in 2008.

He is the founder and director of Music for Parkinson’s Research, a grassroots fundraising group which raised $37,000 for PDF’s research programs in 2010.
