My father, after taking a sulpha drug for an infection, suddenly began hallucinating. His internist said this was from PD and not a drug reaction. Do hallucinations come on overnight? thanks. (NS)
My 71-year-old husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's five years ago. He has begun to have strange "dreams" when he appears to be partially awake. Is this caused by the PD itself, medications, or possibly a different problem? (SD)
My husband has Parkinson's disease and he recently wandered off, got confused, and was brought home by a policeman. Where can I find an ID bracelet for him? (BC)
My Mother (85) has had Parkinson's for ten years and been on levodopa for two years now. She suffers from hallucinations brought about by the Sinemet. At times she gets very aggressive. What can be done to help
her? She was on Risperdal 1 mg. which only seems to make her more confused
mentally. (RH)
My Mother has had PD for at least fifteen years. But now she is experiencing psychotic dreams that she believes are real. Someone is going to
kill or rape her, for example. She screams and can't sleep. What kind of medication can we use at this stage in the PD? And what do we do? I took her to the ER and they put her in psychiatric ward. But she is smart, very oriented to self and place and is a very sharp person. (anonymous)
