Q:My 84 year old father has had pd for ten years. He has been on the same dose of carb/levo 50/200 3 times a day, paxil 20 mil a day. He started having hallucinations 2 weeks ago. Very vivid of small animals and little people, he has macular degeneration, could this be the problem and not the medicines? I will add these hallucinations began in the hospital although he was not on narcotics after a 12 week stay from a dislocated shoulder leading to aspiration in surgery. Could this be a result of the trauma? He is otherwise mentally alert as he was before. Thank you so much for any suggestions. (anonymous)Show Answer

Q:I am taking both Sinemet and Sinemet CR. Sinemet is to be taken on an empty stomach and the CR with food. Why is this? Does with food mean at or immediately after a meal, or just with crackers or something similar? I am trying to follow the information from the pharmacist and am not sure h ow important the difference is. Thank you. (anonymous)Show Answer
