My Father-in-Law has been told that as he has had PD for fifteen years, any drugs he is given for PD will have little or no effect. Is there a 'LIFE' span on any or all PD drugs?
If there is what can we do to help keep him mobile? Is there any other
medication or treatment that will help?

According to the NINDS website, "PD is not by itself a fatal disease, but it does get worse with time." Why then is PD listed as the 14th leading cause of death in the US for 2003, the latest year for which data are available? (See the table at http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/hestat/finaldeaths03_tables.pdf#2) (PT)
My aunt is thought to have Shy-Drager Syndrome. Do you know anything about this syndrome. They tell us it is due to her high and low blood pressure rates. What tests are done to diagnosis this and what medicine can be used? (anonymous)
I had a stroke that just happened to occur in the same area effected by Parkinson's. The doctor said it's like a one time injury, a cut, that heals eventually. Do I have Parkinson's disease or not? (anonymous)
