Q:My father was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at age 47. His symptoms are progressing very quickly--not like the typical slow degeneration that I am reading about in books about PD. Q:A friend of mine is 42 and has been diagnosed with PD within the last 2 years. Since he is so young does that mean that his symptoms will be much worse in 10-20+ years compared to someone who is diagnosed later in life? Q:My friend is 54 and was just diagnosed with Parkinson's. He has a tremor in his right hand and so far that is his only symptom. The neurologist he saw told him that his symptoms would either stay the same or get steadily worse. I have never heard of Parkinson's staying the same; can this be true? And how fast does Parkinson's progress? I would appreciate your answer on these questions. Thank you.Show Answer

this disease progresses. My aunt is 82 years old and was diagnosed with PD several years ago. I was wondering what we should expect to encounter as her disease progresses. Also if you have some keywords that would help me search the Internet for more information in this area that would be useful.
