I look OK, so nothing is wrong
No one sees the shaking that embarrasses me so.
They do not see the pain that is to move.
They may wonder why I’m lazy and slow.
But
I look OK, so nothing is wrong
You don’t feel the stiffness of this body
To you the world is not tilted
You can still move at full speed
Yet
I look OK, so nothing is wrong
Inside the darkness is killing me
The anger is eating me
Your indifference shames me
Still
I look OK, so nothing is wrong
I have my hair...no chemo here
I have my limbs, shaky they may be
My face maybe blank, but I’m in here
Well
I look OK, so nothing is wrong
I hide my disease, because you don’t understand
I fear the label of fraud and foul
I don’t know why it’s my Parky life
To you
I look OK, so nothing is wrong.
