People with Parkinson's Clinical Research Advocacy Initiative

In 2006, PDF created an initiative to provide technical consulting and financial support to clinical research advocacy projects that are created and led by people with Parkinson's.

This year, PDF has allocated funds to the Parkinson Pipeline Project, a group of people with Parkinson's who make efforts in education and advocacy to address barriers to the acceleration of clinical research. PDF funding will allow Pipeline Project members to stay up-to-date on new advances in Parkinson's symptoms, diagnostics and therapies through attending scientific conferences. The funds will also support these advocates in speaking at national, regional and local events on the importance of clinical research.
