  • And More!

The PDF Champions fundraising program can help generous individuals like you plan your customized efforts to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson's disease – with our support and tips.

Become a PDF Champion Today!

When you become a PDF Champion, you will be able to use our 'how-to' handbook and make your own personalized webpage, where family and friends can view fundraising goals and event pictures, and make an online donation toward your event! You can even make your donation page in honor of or in memory of a loved one.

As a PDF Champion, you will also receive official PDF endorsement of your event, technical assistance, PDF materials and recognition on our website.

How to Sign Up:

Option 1: Simply download our fundraising packet and fill out the fundraiser registration form (the last page of the packet). Fax or mail the form to PDF. We will review your registration and contact you to help get you started and to answer any questions.  You can mail or fax the form to:

Parkinson's Disease Foundation
1359 Broadway, Suite 1509
New York, NY10018
Fax: (212) 923-4778

Option 2: If you would like to create your own fundraising page, you can register to raise funds online. PDF has signed on with ActiveGiving.com to provide you with an online page as the home base for your event. To get started follow these easy steps:

  1. Read through the fundraising link options located below and click on the link of your choice.
  2. After clicking on one of the links below, you will be directed to an ActiveGiving.com page. To get started, click on the “Become a Fundraiser” link located on the top green bar of ActiveGiving.com's site.
  3. Now there should be a small gray bar below the green bar where you clicked “Become a Fundraiser.” On the gray bar, click either “Fundraise as an Individual,” “Create a Fundraising Team” or “Join a Fundraising Team.”
  4. Complete and submit the necessary form to create an ActiveGiving.com username and password. Continue to follow the instructions on ActiveGiving.com to create your very own webpage.
  5. On your webpage you can write about why you are raising funds for PDF and upload photos and icons. Email your webpage link to all of your contacts!

Choose a fundraising link:

  • Organize an Event
Running in a marathon? Walking, biking, sailing or bowling? For any of the events you organize or participate in, you can create an online sponsor page so your friends, family and colleagues can lend their support.
  • Click to a Cure
You do not have to have an event to help.  You can create a personal fundraising page with your story about why you are raising funds for Parkinson's.  Email the link to your contacts and ask them to help support the cause.
  • Honor a Loved One
Honor someone you love who lives with Parkinson's disease by creating an online giving page as a tribute to a family member or friend.
  • Create a Memorial Fund
If you have lost a loved one and wish to pay tribute to them, you can create a special memorial fund online.  Upload pictures, stories and memories to share their life and legacy with others.
