Today's The Day! Tell Congress: We Need Cures, Not Cuts!
- Nov 14 2012
The Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) has received another important update from the Parkinson's Action Network (PAN) about advocating for critical research funding.
Today's the day! Call your Members of Congress today and tell them to protect funding that offers promise for better treatments and a cure.
Every call matters. Congress has until January 2 to act to prevent sequestration, devastating across-the-board cuts that will slash $2.5 billion in critical research funding at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and 33,000 jobs around the country. If we don't speak up today, decades' worth of research toward a cure and better treatments for Parkinson's and other diseases will be lost!

PAN is the voice of the Parkinson's community in Washington, DC. In fiscal year 2013, PDF is supporting PAN with a grant of $200,000.
