Tell Congress: We Need Cures, Not Cuts!

The Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) has received another important update from the Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN) about advocating for critical research funding.

From PAN:

November 14: National Call-In Day

On Wednesday, November 14, the Parkinson's Action Network is hosting its first-ever National Call-In Day to urge Congress to protect funding that offers promise for better treatments and a cure. Help us make this day a success and ask your friends and family to join us in telling Congress we need cures, not cuts!

Unless Congress acts before January 2, devastating across-the-board cuts will slash $2.5 billion in critical research funding at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and 33,000 jobs around the country.

These cuts, known as sequestration, could wipe out decades of research toward finding better treatments and a cure for Parkinson's and many other diseases.  Stay tuned for more info!
