Parkinsonís Awareness Month is Nationally Recognized

Yesterday it was announced that April had been officially designated by the US Senate as Parkinson’s Awareness Month. According to the Parkinson's Action Network (PAN), US Senator Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) introduced Senate Resolution 134, and Senators Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Mark Udall (D-CO), Mike Johanns (R-NE), and Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) joined as cosponsors.
PDF is encouraged that for the second consecutive year, the US government has officially recognized April as Parkinson's Awareness Month, helping to raise awareness of the nearly one million people the US affected by Parkinson's.
