Join PDF on Tuesday, June 22 for the Tour For a Cure for Parkinson's on Long Island, NY
- Jun 17 2010
The Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF) invites you to join us on Long Island, NY on Tuesday, June 22, from 11 AM to 8 PM, for one of two festive events – 18 holes of golf with the PDF Champions Tour for a Cure or a tour of Long Island's finest wineries with the East End Wine Tasting.
Both events will begin at the Hamlet Willow Creek Golf and Country Club, and end at the same location with a joint dinner and awards ceremony. All proceeds will benefit PDF’s research programs.
The Golf Tournament will begin with a buffet lunch and be followed by 18 holes, scramble style. Golfers and their foursomes will compete in several contests including: longest drive, closest to the pin and line, and the lowest foursome score. Other awards include individual and hole-in-one prizes.
Not a golfer? The East End Wine Tasting includes a scenic trolley tour of three local vineyards, including Palmer Vineyards in Aquebogue, Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard in Baiting Hollow and Macari Vineyard in Mattituck. Wine tasters will also have a chance to visit the Briermere farm stand and Buffalo farm.
Golfers and wine tasters will meet up at 5:30 PM for a buffet dinner, featuring golf awards, raffles and a silent auction.
Tickets are available as follows: $195 per person for the Golf Tournament (includes buffet lunch and dinner); $175 per person for the East End Wine Tasting (includes buffet lunch and dinner); and $150 per person for the buffet dinner only. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
Tickets must be purchased in advance for either the Golf Tournament or the East End Wine Tasting. Both events will occur concurrently so it is not possible for the same individual to participate in both. Please don’t delay as space is limited.
