Learn about Parkinsonís Advocacy with the PAN Research & Public Policy Forum
- Jan 29 2009
On Sunday, March 15, members of the Parkinson’s disease (PD) community will convene for the Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN), 15th Annual Research & Public Policy Forum.
PAN is the unified education and advocacy voice of the Parkinson’s community. Its 2009 Forum provides two days of training in advocacy and the latest scientific advances in Parkinson’s disease research, leading up to a final day of meetings with members of Congress on Capitol Hill. Forum attendees learn about PAN’s 2009 legislative agenda, issues important to the Parkinson’s community, and the power of advocacy.
The Forum also provides a unique opportunity to interact with others in the Parkinson’s community and discover skills to take home to convey PAN’s message in a more effective way. This annual gathering of advocates and leaders in the Parkinson’s community gives those new to advocacy the chance to learn from those who are active in grassroots efforts.
If you are interested in attending or learning more about PAN Research & Public Policy Forum, please contact PAN at (800) 850-4726 or visit PAN online at www.parkinsonsaction.org
