PDF’s 2009 “Creativity & Parkinson’s: Insights” Calendar Now Available
New York, NY - Dec 16 2008
The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) is pleased to announce that the 2009 “Creativity & Parkinson’s: Insights” calendar is now available. The calendar showcases the artwork of thirteen artists who are living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) - individuals who were chosen from over 220 people with PD whose works are displayed through the Creativity and Parkinson’s Project. We invite you to order free copies of the calendar for yourself, your loved one or your patients.
Each month of the calendar features the work of an artist living with PD, along with a personal statement about how the creative process has affected his or her life with Parkinson’s disease. The calendar also highlights upcoming Parkinson’s-related events, including PDF’s own educational events, Parkinson’s Awareness Month in April, and other events of interest to the community.
The 2009 “Creativity & Parkinson’s: Insights” calendar is part of PDF’s Creativity and Parkinson’s Project, which exists to explore, support and encourage the therapeutic value of creativity in Parkinson’s. We invite you to tour the gallery and submit your own works to be featured on our site.
