Janet Hamburg, a Registered Movement Therapist, Certified Laban Movement Analyst and a Professor of dance at the University of Kansas, will join Leonard Casavant on his web-based radio show ďTravels with ParkinsonísĒ for a live interview on February 10, 2004, at 10 a.m. (EST). Janet will be talking about a new exercise program, "Motivating Moves for People with ParkinsonísĒ which she co-produced with the Parkinsonís Disease Foundation.
Motivating Moves, which is available in video, DVD and in international videotape formats, consists of 24 seated exercises that target common Parkinsonís symptoms by emphasizing diaphragmatic breathing, spatial awareness, flexibility, sense of balance, vocal range and facial expressivity.
