Parkinson Alliance Hosts 5K Fundraiser

On Saturday, October 1, more than 300 runners, walkers and volunteers gathered in West Windsor, New Jersey, for the 6th Annual Carnegie Center 5K and Fun Run to raise funds for Parkinsonís disease research. The event, which benefits The Parkinson Alliance of Princeton, raised more than $45,000óthe most successful event to date!

ďThis gets us one step closer to the cure,Ē said Carol Walton, Executive Director of The Parkinson Alliance.

Congressman Rush Holt (D-12th) energized the audience with remarks on the importance of Parkinsonís research and sent young runners off in the one mile Fun Run while the adults tackled the 5K. All child winners received their own trophy while the men's winner, Michael Daigeaun, and the women's winner, Tamara Kladt, walked away with a trophy and special prizes.

Special thanks go to commercial real estate broker and Race Director Jerry Fennelly (son of Joseph), his wife Nancy, The Hyatt Regency Princeton, and the generous corporate sponsors.
