"The PDF Community Choice Research Award allows scientists to hear directly from people with Parkinson's about what is important to us. As a community, we are posing a question and PDF will fund a scientific team to answer it."

Tell Us Your PD Research Priority

Have you ever wished that you could tell PDF what research should be funded? Now you can. Share your research priority this week as part of the PDF Community Choice Research Award.

What is the PDF Community Choice Award?

Just today, we opened our online poll for the PDF Community Choice Award. We are looking for your priority question for PDF researchers by 5:00 PM ET on Friday, October 4.* How does it work?

Step 1: Choose your research priority. Does it involve a symptom, a pathway or a treatment that could improve your life? (Visit our website here to view questions already submitted.)

Step 2: Submit your priority question online here. Headed to the World Parkinson Congress in Montreal, Canada this week? Visit booth #1411 to submit your priority in-person.

Step 3: Tell your friends! Call support group members, post the poll link on Facebook or Twitter (follow us @PDFparkinson and the hashtag #mypdpriority).

Step 4: Check out the live voting results on our website to see what’s trending. We’ll post your questions online all week.

Step 5: In early 2014, PDF will announce the research question that will be funded. The person who has submitted the question will work with the research team funded to answer it!
