Raise Awareness
How will you make a difference during April, Parkinson's Awareness Month?
It can be as as fun as sending an eCard to a friend, or as forceful as writing a letter to the editor of your local paper. PDF's toolkit, 30 Ways to Raise Awareness of Parkinson's, offers tips and tools for making an impact in your community. Whether you are a person living with Parkinson’s, a spouse, a partner, a child, a grandchild, a parent or a loved one, we hope you will find an idea that works for you!

To help you find ideas for raising awareness, this toolkit is organized into five sections:
Spread the Word
Includes ways to spread the word about Parkinson’s throughout your community, such as writing a letter to the editor or displaying the Parkinson’s Quilt.
Educate Yourself and Others
Includes ways to bring the latest information to families who are touched by Parkinson’s, such as setting up an educational event or organizing a library display.
Support the Cure
Includes ways to support research, such as joining the College Campus Challenge or honoring a loved one by making a donation to PDF in his or her name.
Awareness Tools
Includes templates, posters, stickers, educational materials and more, to help you plan and promote your awareness activity.
Personal Stories
Includes more than 15 profiles of those who raised awareness in previous years, and survey results from participants. We believe you will find yourself inspired, as we ourselves were, by the personal stories featured within the toolkit. They demonstrate that no matter which awareness effort you choose, you can make a difference.
