Parkinson's Help Offered by Couple
- Apr 20 2013
By Press-Gazette Media
Kevin and Diane Shilka of Green Bay recently joined the Parkinson's Disease Foundation's Parkinson's Advocates in Research program and are working as advocates in the community.
The Shilkas are providing information on the latest research, providing tips to those deciding whether volunteering for a study is right for them and looking for opportunities to guide research with local and national organizations. The program pairs advocates with researchers to speed new treatments.
Anyone with Parkinson's disease as well as caregivers and those involved in research can connect with the Shilkas and other advocates in the region by contacting the foundation at (800) 457-6676 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
