Portion of Parkinson's Quilt Featured at Rehab Center in Stuart

A portion of the Parkinson's Quilt Project will be displayed at Martin Health System's Richard Raub Rehabilitation Center through April 5 in honor of Parkinson's Awareness Month.

The Parkinson's Quilt Project is the first global quilt project to focus the world's attention on the millions of people worldwide living with Parkinson's.

During the past year, more than 600 people created quilt panels, each of which measures 2 feet by 2 feet. The quilt was first displayed at the World Parkinson Congress in September 2010.

Supporters can view the quilt portion daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the rehabilitation center in Smithfield Plaza, 2189 E. Ocean Blvd., Stuart.
