Young New Yorkers Lead April 3 Benefit for Parkinson's Disease Foundation

On April 3, PDF and the Young New Yorkers for the Fight Against Parkinson’s Committee held our first Celebrate Spring! benefit.

Over 500 guests joined PDF for an evening of cocktails and dancing at Cipriani 23rd Street in New York City, while raising nearly $100,000 for Parkinson’s research. The event was immediately followed by an after party at Marquee Night Club.

PDF’s Executive Director, Robin Elliott, noted, “PDF is thrilled that our new committee is dedicated to fighting Parkinson’s by engaging their fellow young New Yorkers in the cause and raising money for research. We are pleased to announce that all funds raised from this event will be directed to PDF’s research program and, in particular, toward two projects identified by Dr. Lucien Côté, a valued and long-time friend of PDF.”

PDF is grateful for our volunteer leadership, who helped make this event possible, including our Chairs G. Pennington Egbert III, Georgina B. Schaeffer, and Melissa Egbert Sheehan as well as the efforts of the entire committee.

Through the PDF Champions program, you can support PDF by holding your own party or bake sale sale or even running a race. To learn more, please click here.
