PDF Invites You to Annual Gala on May 14

The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) will be hosting its gala, Bal du Printemps, on May 14, 2008 at The Pierre Hotel.
We invite you to join us in celebrating the community leaders who advance Parkinson’s science and the philanthropic leaders who make these advances possible with their generous financial support. The evening will also serve to raise funds for PDF’s research programs.

Leadership
Bal du Printemps is led by Honorary Chairs Page Morton Black, Amy Goldman and Judith Sulzberger. This year’s event will include cocktails, dinner, dancing and a silent auction. PDF is grateful for the leadership of John Connolly, Ed.D., who will serve as the 2008 Dinner Chair.
Awards
The night will feature an awards presentation recognizing Lewis P. Rowland, M.D., PDF’s President since 1979, Mel and Carol Taub and family, major supporters of PDF for more than a decade, and Oliver Sacks, M.D.,F.R.C.P., Professor of Clinical Neurology and Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University. Dr. Lewis P. Rowland will receive PDF's Lifetime Achievement Award, in appreciation of his commitment to PDF and his outstanding leadership in the science and practice of neurology at Columbia University. The Mel and Carol Taub family will receive the Page and William Black Humanitarian Award for their long and devoted service to Parkinson’s science through their support of PDF. Dr. Oliver Sacks will receive the Isobel Robins Konecky Creativity Award.
