Acrylic painting is one of the surprise gifts that young onset Parkinson's disease has given me. While creativity was never my strength, art is now something that I cherish and use in many ways in my life, from painting and creating with my children to decorating my house. When I paint, my body feels good and my mind clears and wanders to an especially happy place. I paint in my studio overlooking the open space, mountains and blue skies of the Colorado Rockies. Painting is energizing, relaxing and healing all at once.
