When I was first diagnosed with PD I was a mess. I thought I was going to die, or at the very least become disabled. I started taking long walks at a lake near my home to think.
During these walks I decided I better start appreciating the things around me and in my life. It was so beautiful some evenings I started taking pictures. I've found it to be so relaxing and rewarding. It has given me a greater appreciation of the beauty of the world around me.
How many people actually take the time out of their busy day just to appreciate the day and be happy they are alive? I do now. PD has given me a greater appreciation of life and the ones I love. I am able to see the world around me in a different light now, and am just happy to be here.
