Participant Information
Kay Cotton
At the age of 5 I decided I was going to be a Fashion Designer one day, and with my parents' blessings I went through school and university following my goal.
My career followed the Art and Design path and I eventually became a professor of art and a costume shop manager in the theatre dept. of a university in the USA. I finally felt like I had the perfect job and life for me and then in 2005 was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
This was a turning point for me; time to come home; be near my parents; take life a little easier by the ocean and enjoy producing my art work.
I love to paint realistically in oils and I do not tremor when I am painting, however my favorite medium is collage, using beads, gold leaf and fabrics.
