My photography has provided me with a means of coping with the depression that often accompanies Parkinson's. I take a lot of flower pictures. I am always moved by the beauty of one flower or a full field. Not only do I gain peace of mind from these photos, but people who view them have been extremely complimentary.
I have chosen to submit a wildlife photo of the two lions for two reasons. First, the picture quality is worthy of submission. Second, and more important, this picture was taken in Tanzania. I was able to make this trip, once in a lifetime, as a result of the DBS surgery I underwent in April of 2004. That operation gave back my life.
