Annie Konopka
I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's in Feb. 2004, at age 37.
I began drawing in high school, mostly cartoon characters and have always enjoyed sketching florals. I currently teach arts and crafts, a preschool program, at a local community center.
I participated in “Painting with Parkinson’s,” with the NJ APDA in late spring 2008. Realizing that I enjoyed painting I kept it up over the last few years. One of my paintings was selected to be displayed in my hometown Municipal Building. Most of my paintings adorn the walls of friends and family. Florals are my specialty.
