New Greeting Card Website to Raise Money for Parkinsonís Disease Research
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2002. Being 46 years old, I was taken completely by surprise.
My wife and I started a greeting card website featuring my photography to raise money and awareness in order to accelerate finding the cause of and cure for Parkinsonís disease. Every dollar counts and I hope that my photography will have appeal. In addition, I noticed that other similar causes use greeting cards to raise money but I couldnít find a dedicated greeting card site for Parkinsonís in the U.S., so it seemed like a natural fit. The proceeds will be donated to the Parkinsonís Action Network (PAN). We chose PAN because of its diversity. PAN supports the National Parkinsonís Foundation, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, the Parkinsonís Disease Foundation and others. PAN is the leading voice for patients in Washington, D.C., working to bring much-needed awareness to the public and lawmakers about the effects of Parkinsonís disease.
