Since I had DBS surgery, I am a new woman. I haven't been able to control my hands for years. The success of surgery has made me an artist. People in my community cannot believe the tremendous improvement in my work in the past year.
The fact that I have Parkinson's has motivated me to continue to do things I haven't been able to for many years. I was diagnosed at age 30 and back then they didn't know about young people with the disease. It has been downhill for many years, until the DBS surgery.
