I am an artist. I was a filmmaker but have stopped that in large part due to my health. I take Carbidopa/Levodopa for my Parkinson disease and have dyskinesia's (over-movement) and off's (being unable to move).

I discovered that if I am off, I can dance my way out of it and move even if the medication does not work. I can also control over-movement by dancing to certain songs.

"Fluctuations" is a project I did with Samay Jain, a Movement Disorders Fellow and student filmmaker. It is a documentary that explores how I cope with Parkinson disease, motor fluctuations and dancing. These elements have come together to help create a positive outlook in my life. I am very grateful for all life has to offer, and hope to help others by sharing my experiences.
