Many people with Parkinson's are restricted in their writing or in their ability to express themselves verbally.
Poetry is an economical and therapeutic way of expressing myself. Feelings can be powerfully expressed with the use of a few words, and easily written down so I don't have to get up in front of a whole lot of people.
So poetry is a good vehicle for expressing a huge amount when communication is restricted.
