I had always sewn & done needlework & crafts. When diagnosed with PD, I felt that having Parkinson's would eliminate that, too, from my life, but have found instead that doing this weaving & sewing on the pillows, actually helps keep my fingers & hands more nimble & agile & the creative juices flowing in my brain!

Too, when I create one of these keepsake pillows for a special bridal couple, it is a way to "give a piece of myself" to them as a gift & seems as if it is a very special presentation of one "not so afflicted" after all.

I am proud of my original creations, and the recipient's pleasure in receiving them encourages me to keep trying, to keep active and utilize the strengths I still have.
