I was not creative until after I was diagnosed with PD. Writing poetry is very therapeutic to me. I express myself and create a poem that my PD friends enjoy reading.
Sometimes I amaze myself at how well I compose a poem. The PD symptoms can be so horribly debilitating that expressing my feelings is very comforting. I have also written poetry about my PD friends, and they are very excited about their own personal poem.
I perform a short interview to obtain personal information to include in their poem. I am currently preparing to publish a book of my poetry.
