PDF Champions: Stepping Up the Pace (AR)

PDF Champion Gillian Woods in partnership with the PDF Champions program. PDF Champions are some of the dedicated individuals who give their time and energy to raise awareness for Parkinson’s and funds for PDF in their local communities.
- What:
Join PDF Champion Gillian Woods as she hosts the Third Annual Stepping Up the Pace Walk/Run for Parkinson's. The one mile walk/run will feature a silent auction, healthcare booths with information and an educational lecture by Alan Diamond, D.O., "Stepping Up the Pace With PD: The Impact of Physical Activity."
The Walk will also feature a display of the Parkinson's Quilt. The initiative led by PDF is the first global quilt to focus the world's attention on the nearly one million people in the US and seven to 10 million people worldwide living with Parkinson's.
She will display her support group's quilt block, which features a panel by Jerry Patnoe of Elkins, AR. His panel, "Four Star General" is featured in the month of April in PDF's 2013 Creativity and Parkinson's Calendar.
Pre-registration to participate in the Walk/Run is required. Registration costs $10 and includes a t-shirt and breakfast.
