Getting Involved

“Awareness of Parkinson’s leads to compassion, compassion leads to giving, giving leads to research, and research will lead to a cure.”
- Pam Quinn, research advocate

How can you get involved in the Parkinson's community? Whether you prefer to share your personal story, let others know about a community event, display your creative works or raise funds for a cure, there are many ways to connect.

Advocate for Research:  Help to bring about better treatments at a faster pace as part of our Parkinson's Advocates in Research program.

Raise Awareness: Find tips and tools for helping PDF to #EndParkinsons during April, Parkinson's Awareness Month, and all year long.

Fundraise as a PDF Champion: Support our work by joining PDF Champions, a group of inspiring individuals dedicated to the Parkinson's cause.

Find Community Events: Search for events in your area and submit your own by browsing our calendar. If you would like to find a support group in your area, call PDF at (800) 457-6676 to help you find one.

Get Creative: Browse works of art made by nearly 400 people with Parkinson’s or submit your own, through our Creativity and Parkinson’s Project. We welcome all creative works – painting, drawing, dancing, singing, jewelry, music and more.

Display the Parkinson's Quilt: Learn about the first global quilt project to focus the world's attention to Parkinson's. Display a block in your community to raise awareness of Parkinson's and the need for a cure.

Share Your Story: Read personal stories from other people living with PD and share your own experiences about diagnosis, community involvement and more.
