Caregiving and Family Support

Parkinson’s disease does not just affect the person living with it – it affects the entire family and sometimes, an extended community of friends and other loved ones.

If you are the child, parent, grandparent, relative or caregiver to a person with Parkinson’s, you are familiar with how challenging Parkinson’s can be.

Your responsibilities may include helping a loved one with daily activities, managing medications and making financial decisions.

Remember, you also need support. It is equally important for you, as it is for the person with PD to cope and care for yourself and to begin the process of understanding Parkinson’s.
